    展覧会内容

    この度Gallery OUT of PLACE TOKIO は、6月〜7月期の展覧会として西川茂による「under construction or destruction」展（油彩）を開催いたします。

    西川はこの数年、街や都市に忽然と出現する建築中（あるいは解体中）のシートに覆われた建物を、独特の筆致と色使いで描いてきました。
    今回は、香港や東京の今まさに更新されようとする「進行形の都市風景」に対峙しています。西川の精緻な観察眼を元に描かれた、濃密な油彩の時空間に是非ご注目ください。

    We are very pleased to announce our new exhibition "under construction or destruction" by Nishikawa Shigeru.
    In the last few years Nishikawa has drawn the covered building by sheet under construction (or demolishing) which appears suddenly in town with unique touch and color.
    This time he is confronted with Hong Kong and Tokyo's "progressive urban landscape" that is about to be updated everyday. Please pay attention to the time/space in dense oil paintings drawn based on refined observation eye of Nishikawa.

    また18:30頃より作家が自身の作品や今後の展望についてトークを行います。
