    ◆展覧会内容
    日本の長い歴史と文化に育まれた染織物産地は、高度な技術と高い感性により、現在は世界に誇る産地として広く知られています。

    ヨシイカズコは、かつて着物主流の時代から、新しいファッション・インテリアの時代の先駆けとして、日本の染織物産地のテキスタイル文化を「日本のブランド」として世界に発信してきたパイオニアです。

    志半ばでコロナで他界したヨシイカズコは、日本文化の発信につなげたいとの思いで制作した染織物を利用して、テキスタイルデザイナーとして最後の仕事としてコラージュ作品を制作しておりました。

    ◆受賞歴
    テキスタイルデザイナーとして活動し、主な受賞歴は以下の通り。
    第一回全日本染色作品展　服地プリント部門:通商産業大臣賞・外務大臣賞・婦人画報賞
    第二回全日本染色作品展　服地プリント部門：通商産業大臣賞・京都織物卸商業組合賞
    JAPANTEX2005 最優秀賞
    やまなしグッドデザイン特別賞（ジャパンブランド育成支援事業として）

    インテリアアートコーディネーターとして活動し、主な建築物は以下の通り。
    総理大臣官邸・迎賓館・NHK国際会議場
    ホテルオークラ・パレスホテル・京王プラザホテル
    白水ゴルフクラブ（第28回SDA賞）

    ◆学歴
    武蔵野美術大学商業デザイン科　卒業

    Textile Designer Kazuko Yoshii Exhibition
    Kazuko Yoshii was a well-known textile designer, In her lifetime she won many awards that lead to her designing specifically for places like the Government Guest House in Akasaka, The Prime Minister's Office, The NHK International Conference Hall, Okura Hotel, Palace Hotel, and the Keio Plaza Hotel.
    Her main activities through her life were the creation of textiles for other designers in Japan and abroad and the creation of packaging designs for businesses. After her health became an issue, she worked on things close to her heart which were the promotion of Japanese traditional textiles.
    To the end of her life, she promoted traditional Japanese textiles in the hope that this traditional art would not disappear. In the pictures seen in the exhibition, she dyed and created the materials to create these pieces of art. She died from Covid before finishing this project.
    Displayed at the exhibition are the 28 pictures of her final legacy.
