山や自然が持つ「理不尽さ」や「暴力性」、あるいは「災害」といったものをテーマとした平面作品を制作しています。
「自然の脅威」と「それに伴う現象の美しさ」という、相反する2つの要素を、1つの場面に描こうと研究を重ねています。
今回の展示期間である1月下旬から2月上旬にかけて、山形の冬の厳しさはピークを迎えます。
山と雪に閉ざされ、移動することもままならないこの時期は、自然の理不尽さをより強く感じます。
白い壁の向こうに思いを馳せながら、制作を続けます。

I'm producing plane works, setting irrationality or violence which mountain or nature has, or disaster as my theme.
I'm pursuing studies in order to draw two contradictory elements, "Menace of nature" and "Beauty of phenomena with the menace" on one screen.
Unusually cold winter in Yamagata prefecture will peak from last part of January to first part of February when my exhibition will be held.
I strongly feel the irrationality of nature at this time when it's difficult even to move because of mountain and snow.
I keep producing, thinking over white wall.
