開催内容

このたび msb gallery では、 マルゴー ベールの個展「Phénomènes -Genshô (現象)-」を開催いたします。
ベルギー、ブリュッセルを拠点に活動するマルゴー ベールは、紙を自在に操り、立体的なペーパーアートを制作しています。鳥、魚、昆虫、花々、その他様々ないきもの達をモチーフに、独自の物語を織り込んで、詩的な作品へと昇華させています。
日本・ベルギー友好160周年を記念する公式プログラムの一環として開催される本展では、日本の紙とヨーロッパの紙を用いて、植物と動物の間の突然変異という「現象」の概念をもとに制作した作品群を発表いたします。

msb gallery is pleased to present “Phénomènes – Genshō ” a solo exhibition by Margaux Baert.
Based in Brussels, Belgium, she creates three-dimensional paper art by freely transforming paper into poetic creations, weaving unique stories into images of birds, fish, insects, flowers and a variety of other creatures.
This exhibition, featured as part of the official program celebrating the 160th anniversary of friendship between Japan and Belgium,, showcases a series of works created using both Japanese and European papers.
It explores the concept of a "Phenomenon" specifically, a mutation occurring between the plant and animal realm.
