人の心には常にさまざまな感情が入り混じっています。とりわけ親しみのある人やものごとに想いを馳せると、引き裂かれたような相反する感情が湧き上がってくるものではないでしょうか。
今回の個展では、レリーフと絵を組み合わせたシリーズの新作を中心に発表したいと思います。粘土でレリーフ状に形を作りその上に別の絵を描くという方法で、異なる場面の重なり合いによる思いがけない顕れの生成を目指しています。
Various and sometimes contrary feelings mix in the human heart. I wonder why these opposing feelings come up at the same time, often when I’m thinking of something familiar.
For this solo exhibition, I mainly offer my new works: paintings on a bas-relief series. In each case, I model the figure in cray as bas-relief, and I paint another image on it. I’m aiming to form unexpected appearances through this overlapping process.
