work with elements from my own culture and my personal archive of images. Those Images become from my interest in archeology, art history, science fiction and old personal pictures. Creating a personal history through those images and reflecting my vision of the world surrounding me.
The works of the masters is also a recurrent theme in my artwork. I use often compositions and characters from baroque paintings making my own versions and interpretations of them.
In my graphic works the image evolves through states, giving to transitions and temporality an important role into the progress of the painting and building up, using the matrix (plate or stone) as an object where all actions and procedures are registered, I use this ¨archeology of the image¨ as the main part of my methodological process.
Born in Lora del Rio (Andalusia), I started drawing at an early age influenced by science fiction movies and magazines, In 2006 I started my Studies at the University of Sevilla (Bachelor in Fine Arts, Painting) at the same time I started also warking in a series of Wall paintings collaborating with the painter Pablo Iglesias Valdes. In 2010 I got a scholarship to study in Antwerp where I developed my graphic works in combination with my paintings.
