Jonas Bendiksen

プロフィール

1977年　ノルウェー生まれ、ニューヨーク在住。

マグナムロンドンオフィスのインターンを経てロシアへ渡り、フォトジャーナリストとして仕事を始める。
その後数年間、ロシアを拠点に活動し、孤立したコミュニティーの人々など、旧ソビエト連邦の人々の生活を取材。ジオ、ニューズウィークをはじめとする世界の主要雑誌に作品を発表。
2003年ICP（国際写真センター）賞、POYi（Pictures of the Year International）賞など数多くの賞を受賞。2004年よりマグナムに参加、2006年より準会員。2006年秋に初めての写真集『Satellites』を出版。現在は都市部のスラムに関するプロジェクトに取り組んでいる。2010年よりマグナム・フォト会長。
